Welcome by the Principals

St. Kilian’s German School/Eurocampus in Dublin welcomes girls and boys of all nationalities, cultures and religions. While we follow the Irish curriculum to Junior and Leaving Certificate we place a strong emphasis on the German Language and offer a parallel curriculum (Sek-I) to those students able to pursue a course in a limited number of subjects through German. Knowledge of German is not a requirement for enrolment in our Kindergarten, Primary or Secondary School (1st year).

Our modern and forward-thinking approach to teaching German allows pupils to learn the language in an effective and enjoyable manner – from the age of four in Kindergarten through to Leaving Certificate. As a result our students leave St. Kilian’s with a highly proficient standard of German above and beyond the demands of the Leaving Certificate; they have an excellent sense of self as young adults and can confidently take their place in universities in Ireland and abroad.

Our aim is to prepare students for life as citizens of Europe and to set targets for them which challenge their individual abilities. The establishment of the Eurocampus in 2001, when the Secondary School of the Lycée français international Samuel Beckett (LFI) relocated to the St. Kilian’s Clonskeagh campus, was the first step towards providing a true European style education for Dublin. We are proud of the way our students go out into the world as articulate, confident and self-assured graduates of St. Kilian’s.
