Admission to the Sek I Programme (4th Class)
Participation in the Sek I programme requires certain qualifications, including proficiency in the German language (e.g., reading skills), independent work habits (e.g. self-organisation, diligence with homework), and abstract thinking skills.
The evaluation process for the Sek I programme takes place during the 4th class. A Sek I transition coordinator, in close collaboration with the child’s teachers, conducts this evaluation. Upon completion, a recommendation is made regarding the child’s admission to the programme.
Students who receive a recommendation can join the Sek I programme starting in the 5th class, with the consent of their parents.
