On 15th May 2017 St. Kilian’s students were presented with trophies and certificates for their achievements in sports over the past school year. Our hockey coaches Megan Shelley and Tom Parsons, soccer coaches Al Sugg and Eoin Clarkin, as well as tennis coaches Catherine McCarthy and Elaine Kenny summarised the achievements of the year and praised the students for their commitment to sports here at St. Kilian’s.
The awards that were presented on the night were players of the year, most improved players of the year and team of the year. As well as this, we presented our Junior and senior sports person perpetual awards, which are named after former teachers and coaches at St. Kilian’s: Connell Doris and Helen Lennon.
Following the award ceremony, parents and students were treated to some light refreshments in the canteen. Thanks to Ms Shelley and Ms Kenny for organising the evening.
