As part of the annual French Maths Week, M. Voinot from the LFI has organised a ‘Numbers Race / La course aux nombres’ Maths competition for all classes from 4th to 10th, that took place the week 21st – 25th of March 2022. The pupils were taking a 7-minute test on mental arithmetic beginning of the week and the five best performers of each class in St. Kilian’s and the LFI, in total 56 students, have progressed to the finals on Friday morning, March 25th.
Well done to all the 25 winners of St. Kilian’s and the LFI who performed best in this year’s Numbers Race Competition and have been invited to a prize-giving reception at the French Embassy on Friday 1st April. The students were delighted to have been congratulated by H. E. Mr Vincent Guérend, Ambassador of France to Ireland and H. E. Mr Cord Meier-Klodt, Ambassador of Germany to Ireland. Each student has been presented with a certificate and a gift token. Thank you to Mr Voinot from the LFI for organising the competition and to the French Ambassador H.
