6A class participated in the AIJS Music Festival on Wednesday 29th March 2023, in Rathdown School, Glenageary. Several schools from various parts of Ireland, but mainly Dublin, performed songs or orchestral pieces. Our children presented St. Kilian’s with an Aboriginal song ‘Abeeyo’, creating a unique atmosphere, using instruments like didgeridoos, xylophone notes, chimes, rasps, wooden blocks, drums and bird whistles. It was great fun. The students also enjoyed listening to other groups, particularly some pop bands with their lively drum players. Thank you to Ms Thielemans for organising and to all involved.
