We bid a fond farewell to the Class of 2023, making the occasion with a wonderful and emotional Graduation Assembly in UCD’s Astra Hall on Tuesday, 23rd of May 2023. The evening featured musical performances by 12th Class Music group, awards and prizes, poetry readings, speeches and videos capturing memorable moments from the 12th Class’s journey. Over 20 out of 42 of this year’s 12th class students had spent the last 14 years of their lives in St. Kilian’s since their first Kindergarten days and were presented with the Longevity Award. Thank you to our guest speaker this year, Dr Richard Hogan, family therapist, author, and columnist, who shared an inspiring speech and concluded with 5 valuable pieces of advice. Congratulations to our graduates and thank you to all for a fantastic evening. We wish our students from the Class of 2023 the very best as they move on to a new stage of their lives. Lastly, as Mr Macmillan, the Secondary School Principal, has summarized: ‘Ships are safe in harbour, but that’s not what ships are made for. Take the ship to the sea, but don’t forget your St. Kilian’s life jacket.’
