It is National Bike Week beginning the 13th May and the Green School Committee (GSC) have decided to revive the Golden Boot challenge.
What dates are included: Monday, May 13th to Thursday, May 16th.
What times? 7:45 – 8:20 a.m.
Who is included? All classes, Kindergarten to 6th.
What will happen? Members of the GSC will be stationed just inside the school gate and at the UCD gate nand will give a raffle ticket to anyone who has walked/cycled/scooted into school. (Hint! It is okay to park outside the school grounds and do the final part of your journey on foot, by bike etc.)
What do I do with the raffle tickets? Write your name on the back and then put it into the container that will be in your classroom.
Can I get a raffle ticket every day? Yes, if you have walked/cycled or scooted that morning.
Then what? On Friday the containers will be collected and one raffle ticket will be picked out from each class and that person will win a prize. So names on the back of the raffle tickets are essential.
Who wins the Golden Boot? The class with the most raffle tickets wins the converted prize.
