More than 30 students that are members of the European Union / Model UN club joined a Zoom conference with Cynthia Ní Mhurchú, Member of the European Parliament for Ireland South yesterday morning, on January 17th, 2025. This event was part of the European Parliament Ambassador School programme, which our school is participating in jointly with the Lycée Français International Samuel Beckett (LFI).
The Parliamentarian engaged in a lively discussion with schools from all across Ireland, and answered questions including from St. Kilian’s and LFI students. She emphasized the importance of engagement in politics from a young age, and encouraged students to take initiative.
The successful event was great preparation for the upcoming visit of 25 EU club members to the EU Parliament in Strasbourg in February, which will be another valuable experience for our passionate students.
