St. Kilian’s U16 Boys Basketball Team wins the All-Ireland Cup ‘C’ Final against O’Carolan College Nobber from County Meath in the National Basketball Arena. It was a brilliant game on Thursday, January 23rd 2025, with an outstanding play from both teams. After a defeated first half, St. Kilian’s managed to secure the lead and wins the final at the end by just one point 50-49. Congratulations to the team and Head Coach Mr Larkin on such fantastic achievement. Also, congratulations to Sebastian Hartas, who scored an impressive 45 points and was named the game’s MVP (Most Valuable Player). A big thank you to all the supporters, parents and teachers who came to sheer on the boys giving them the motivation they needed, especially during the last tense 55 seconds until the final whistle.
We are all thrilled and very proud of the boys. As Coach Mr Larkin summerized: “Sebastian was amazing for us today, but the work that all the other boys have put in for us these last few years has been phenomenal. I’m just so proud of them all. We only started this schools basketball team almost two years ago to the day and to get to an All-Ireland C Cup Final and win it, it’s just phenomenal”. Well done boys!
