Congratulations to Adam Cantwell-Xenapolos (7th class), Sasha Lorrigan (6th class) and Philippe Lorrigan (8th class) of Lycee Francais/ St. Kilians who won a National award at the 2012 Blackrock Animation Film Festival. They won the 12- 18 year old short film category for their animation film ” Rubbish Express”. They worked with three other students to create the film during one of two workshops which were organised by PURE( Protecting Uplands and the Rural Environments) and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council over the Easter break.
The film ” Rubiish Express” was shown recently at the Cork Film Festival and in a slightly different setting, to 7th and 8th class during assembly this week. Everyone was extremely impressed by the quality of the environment themed animation work. A big congratulations to all those involved.
