Carnival

Karneval is the time before Lent begins. In Germany people celebrate in costume or fancy dress and in some parts of the country there are parades. In St. Kilian’s the Primary and Kindergarten Schools celebrate on the Friday before Lent begins. We usually have a theme and pupils dress up accordingly. We have an assembly with songs, dance and a fancy dress parade.
