Yesterday evening, our Sankt Martins celebrations took place, which is certainly one of the highlights of the school calendar. It was a colorful sight as the children from Kindergarten up to 2nd class took their beautiful lanterns for a procession around the school grounds led by the Primary School Choir. After a short procession, children, teachers and their parents gathered in the Secondary School courtyard to sing lantern and Sankt Martin’s songs, to listen to a poem by 2nd class children and to watch a great re-enactment of Sankt Martin’s story performed by 2nd Class Drama group on the balcony. After the event, all children were treated to a ginger breadman while the parents enjoyed some mulled mine and tea. Our Sankt Martinsfest was again a wonderful and enjoyable event for young and old and with no doubt, one to remember. Well done to Matilda from class 2B who designed the front cover of our Sankt Martin’s song booklet. Thank you to the great efforts by Primary School and Kindergarten teachers, members of the Parents’ Association, the Primary School Choir under the tutelage of Ms de Alcantara and, of course, the children and their parents.
