Our Boys Minor Soccer team were beaten 4-1 in the Metropolitan Minor League Final by Palmerstown CS. Against a team that were physically imposing, St. Kilian’s struggled in the early stages but then settled into the game. They conceded against the run of play midway through the first half but the real damage was done in the closing minutes of the opening period as we conceded two further goals. The introduction of three First year students (Josh Wynne, Marc Garrigos and Adam Abu Shabab) added new impetus to our efforts and the latter two combined in midfield before Marc played a ball through for Ethan McGlynn-Levins to race onto and provide a lifeline for St. Kilian’s.
