Our minor boys failed to breakthrough Mount Temple in their playoff game which was to determine who went to the minor A semi-final and who went to the B league semi-final. Despite having more possession, more shots on goal, more short corners and two open goals we failed to score. In the last seconds of the second period of extra time Mount Temple scored to take the win and progress to the A semi-final.

Mervyn and I were very proud of the boys who played great hockey but on the day the goal’s failed to appear. Such is sport. The team are now in the B league semi-final and the quarter final of the cup.

Final Score After Extra Time: St. Kilian’s 0, Mount Temple 1

Man of the Match: Michael Brennan who was electric at right back. Just pipping Captain fantastic Jake Nourse.
