Our under 13 boys had an exciting draw with Wesley B on 20/10/2017. Coach Mervyn made a couple of positional changes and these worked a treat. Our team was more balanced, and they played some great hockey.

Benas was terrific in goals and has the makings of a top keeper. Jonas Zimmerman is improving at centre back. Ben had the left wing in his pocket and Oisin is a terrific left back. Louis Prehn had a cracker at sweeper coming forward and drilling balls into the circle. Peter Simms is getting better at centre mid. Every game he plays he gives his all. Philip is back with a bang and played really well at left mid. On the right Nathan drove his team forward. Thomas played right wing and had a good game. Boyan made his debut at centre forward and scored what could be the goal of the season. A cracking team effort finished superbly by Boyan. Edward De Bono was brill. At left wing scoring from a rebound off the keeper. We were unlucky to draw as we were leading 2-1 into the final minutes.

Man of the Match: Louis Prehn who was brill. At sweeper. Just pipping Nathan

Goal of the match: Boyan who deflected a screamer into the goal. Contender for goal of the season. Great passing sequence and then Boyan’s deflection.
