On Tuesday 27th, St. Kilian’s German Debating Team travelled to Newbridge College to debate the motion “The Junior Certificate is superfluous”. The team was contra. Team members were Ena Lochrin, Stacey Aleshko, Alexandra Gonzalez and Ciara Mullarkey. The girls performed and argued excellently and ended up successfully beating the Newbridge team. They are now in the Quarter Finals. Many thanks to the teachers who generously gave of their time to prepare them for the debate: Fiona Maher, Stephanie Klapp and Sarah O‘ Donohoe.
