Traditionally we have organised an event in the school before Christmas to raise money for young people in need in Ireland. This year we are having a cake sale, with the money going to Focus Ireland. The cake sale will be held on Friday, December 13. Of course at this time of the year there are always a huge number of demands on your money and time.
However, for the cake sale to succeed we need cakes, buns, tarts, biscuits or anything sweet – either homemade or bought – all donations greatly and gratefully appreciated! Cakes can be left on a table outside the staffroom from 8 a.m. on the morning of December 13th and can be bought between 10.30 and 10.55 in the canteen.
One practical suggestion: to ensure that any valuable plates or trays with cakes are returned to their rightful owner it is helpful if there is a name attached underneath the plate/tray.
We are totally dependent on your goodwill and hope you will be able to support this worthy cause and help us help those who most need our assistance.
