The Annual Rubber Chicken Tournament took place on Friday 4th of April. 8 teams took part in the tournament.
Each team played a total of 7 matches, with the two teams with the highest points going through to the final. The tournament was very well contested by all participants, we had close to 60 students taking part in a tournament. It was an excellent day and it is always fantastic seeing the younger students play hockey and socialise with each other. Each team picked their own team name on the day, with the final consisting of Sunderland V’s Geese. The Geese won after extra time, with a sweep on the back post by 6th class student Emma Donohoe. Well done to all students involved on the day, there was great sportsmanship showed by all players on the day!
Robbie O’ Leary was presented with a mini rubber chicken before the tournament began to acknowledge him being on three rubber chicken winning teams in a row.
