In light of National Tree Week (2nd – 8th of March), 5B went outside for their Science lesson. As we all know, doing something as simple as planting a tree can make a big difference and could make a long term impact in times of climate uncertainty.
Ireland remains one of the least wooded countries in Europe and Class 5B helped by planting some wonderful Common Birch Trees and some beautiful Guelder Rose bushes. Their enthusiasm and good humour despite the cold and gusty wind, shows their love of nature and willingness to help create a cleaner and healthier environment to live in.
Thank you to all the children who participated and continue to show an interest in the world we live in.
