Our senior girls had an excellent win over Raphaela’s Monday, 13th of October 2014. Missing our Leinster duo Nina Heisterkamp and Goalkeeper Elizabeth Murphy, Ailbhe O’Connor and also our sweeper Rhiannon O’Connor we made several positional changes in the team. Up front we started with Lia Taylor Schaffer and Charlotte Warner. In midfield on the left Aine Burns, centre mid. And Captain Anna Heisterkamp Deep midfield Emer Clissmann and right mid Katie Mullen. At sweeper Emma Prehn, right back Ciara Connolly, left back Clodagh Scott, centre back Paula Garcia and goalkeeper Juliette Douet. On the bench Sasha Kelly and Grettel Garrigous.
From the start our midfield was on top with Anna driving the team forward. Lia and Charlotte were looking to score from balls drilled in by Katie. After 6 minutes we won a corner and Charlotte Warner swept home a rebound from the keeper. It was end to end and Emma Prehn was clearing up at the back. After 20 minutes we won another corner and again scored when Anna switched right to Katie who switched inside to Anna and Anna swept home to put us 2-0 up. Just on the stroke of half time we won another corner and this time Anna slipped a delicious ball left to Katie who swept home a bullet of a shot to put us 3-0 up at half time. Lia Schaffer was all over the pitch attacking and then defending.

From the start of the second half we attacked and won a corner. Emma swept a beauty of a ball to Anna. The defence hesitated to cover the switch which allowed Anna time to swivel and score a cracker on the reverse. Raphaela’s lifted their game and had us under pressure. Juliette and our back four defended well. With Time running out we won another corner and Anna scored to seal the game at 5-0.
