Our under 13 team lost their first unbeaten run going down to High School 3-0 on Friday. We had lots of chances but failed to convert while High School converted theirs.
Hard Luck Boys! Some days they go in and some they don’t!

Man of the Match: Eoghan O’Connor who played sweeper and then centre midfield and was terrific.

Senior Girls v Teresians
Emma Jets in for two.
Our senior girls won their third game in the league on Saturday 3-0. The first half was end to end and we scored a cracker to go 1-0 up when Emma Prehn who had returned from Washington picked up a rebound from the keeper and scored to put us 1-0 up at half time. Emma was playing her first game as a forward and was terrific at holding the ball up till the troops arrived. Our midfield led by Captain Anna Heisterkamp and assisted by Nina Heisterkamp and Charlotte Warner and Katie Mullen worked their socks off hitting Tersians on the break. Lia Schaffer put in a huge shift up front as did Grettal and Emma Prehn.
Half Time Teresians 0 St. Kilians 1
The score did not reflect the game as we were under severe pressure for the second half as Teresians came at us. Our back four Aine Burns, Ciara Connolly, Ailbhe O Connor and sweeper Emer Clissmann were superb. Elizabeth Murphy game a master class in goalkeeping to keep Teresians at bay. We defended really well and then we broke out and Nina scored an unbelievable goal from near the end line on the right blasting a rocket of a shot into the net from an acute angle to put us 2-0 up.
From her to the last two minutes we were under fierce pressure and our defence and keeper held Teresians out with tenacious tackling. With time running out Anna swept a ball down the left to Nina who attacked and ran straight for the circle and Nina played a delicious ball to Emma Prehn who swept it past the keeper to seal the game at 3-0. Well Done Girls! What a win!
Final score: Teresians 0 St. Kilians 3
