The inaugural Plastic Duck Soccer Tournament was held on May 9th, with fifty seven students from classes 7, 8 and 9 competing in a 7-a-side format. Whilst the competition is in it is infancy compared to the annual “Rubber Chicken Hockey Tournament”, it would be great if it can be maintained.
After a tense penalty shootout, following a 0-0 draw, the winning team, captained by Dillon Fox, emerged as 5-4 winners, with Jonathan Kennedy scoring the decisive penalty. The team was consisted of – Cilian Bourke, James Murphy, Nikolai Gladyshev, Islam Ismail, Pablo Salcedo and Jonathan Kennedy.
The runners up, captained by Nick Carswell, comprised Harris Arimin, Roko Stojanovic, Ben Norman, Ferdinand Gerhards, Conor Mahony and Alexander Zaimov.
