Congratulations to Ciara Connolly, Sophie Linnane and Colleen Wells for their performance on Saturday at the UCD Women’s Graduates Public Speaking competition. All three delivered engaging and insightful speeches on topics given to them only 30 minutes beforehand. Ciara spoke on the dangerous combination of teens and drugs and called for respect and understanding for today’s teenagers; Sophie tackled the issue of healthy eating and how difficult it can be and Coleen opposed the idea of banning computers from schools as they offer a myriad of opportunities for education today. They were truly worthy ambassadors of our school. They received certificates for their performance and were highly commended. Well done!
