Last night they defeated Gonzaga College in the second round of the competition by successfully opposing the motion that “The COP21 climate change agreements will succeed where others have failed”.
The adjudicators awarded a unanimous win which means the team now have full points going into the third round of the league phase. Team members David Noone (captain), Nikolai Gladyshev, Marcela Gonzalez and Hugh Perrette argued their case well, supported in their preparation by Cillian Corcoran, Patrick Junghenn, Nicholas Weafer and John Joel Boles, all of 11th class.
We wish them luck in the next round against St. Gerard’s, Bray.
