2014 was another historic year for hockey in St. Kilians. Each year we are making great strides forward.
2014 gave us new small steps in our hockey history. In March we won a league and a cup.
In September we had a record number of boys playing hockey and we now have two junior boy’s teams. This is the first time we have had two teams at any age and hopefully this is the start of two teams at all age groups.
Leinster
In 2014 we produced for the first time three Leinster players at different age levels.
At under 16 we had Alex Henry our junior keeper and Nina Heisterkamp our girls under sixteen Leinster star. At under eighteen level goalkeeper Elizabeth Murphy was our representative.
Ireland
Nina Heisterkamp has been selected in the Irish under 16 squad. She is our first Irish under sixteen.
Goalkeeper Alex Henry has been selected for an Irish under 16 trial.
Coaches
It is a great credit to all our coaches in primary and secondary level that we are producing Leinster player and Irish players.
We look forward to 2015 and more milestones in our hockey history.
