Monday 12th January
Senior Girls
Our senior girls lost to St. Columbas in an excellent game. This is the best we have played since early season. Katie Mullen moved to centre midfield and had a stormer. We scored first after Nina Heisterkamp went on a mazy run and drilled a rocket of a shot across to Sasha Kelly who deflected home for a stunning goal. It was end to end and Columbas came back to lead 3-1. Straight away Nina and Anna did one twos up the pitch and Anna scored a cracker to bring the game to 3-2. Hard luck girls. I can’t fault the effort!

Wednesday 14th January
After a pitch inspection we cancelled our under 13 game and re arranged the fixture.
Thursday 15th January
Primary Sixth Class Boys
On a very cold and windy day our primary 6th Class boys had a great win away to Wesley. It is not often any team beats Wesley so this was special. We went 1-0 up in the first half. The second half we played into the wind and then rain and scored again to go 2-0 up. It was backs to the wall as Wesley poured forward in pursuit of a win but our boys showed great heart and spirit to win the game and stay unbeaten in the league. Mark got our two goals. Tristan and Rod was brill at the back. Jack, Mark and Traloch had a great game in midfield and up front Robin and Hugh were excellent as were Daniel and Ben when they came on. In goals Daniel Sheeran was sensational and made some world class saves. Well done Boys!!

Friday 16th January
Minor Girls
Our minor girls had a great win over Jesus and Mary. This is a team made up from first and second year playing all second years so it’s a big result to win at this level. It was our first years who scored the goals through Ella Doherty who got two and Emma Donoghue who got one. Sadhbh Clissmann again had a great game in goals and Captain Aisling Burns was brill at sweeper. Well Done Girls!!
Girl of the Match: Ella Doherty who got two goals. Note Ella won the Bleep test in school on Thursday and is fit as a fiddle.
Goal of the Match: Emma Donoghue.
Minor Boys
Our minor boys were beaten away to KH. The score was 3-1 to KH. We had lots of chances but on the day failed to score.
Man of the Match: Eoin Brennan who was brill in goals. Just pipping Sam Staunton.
Senior Boys
Our senior boys had a great win away to KH. This was the first game we had the full squad this year and it showed in our all round display. Dan Raymond had a great game at centre mid. And set up lots of chances. At the back Jake Linnane was terrific in goal. Great to see Robbie O’Leary fit and well and playing great hockey. Eric Prehn was sensational at sweeper and coming forward to cause havoc in the KH 22. From one such foray he scored a brill goal. Dan Raymond got the second and late in the second half Cillian Bourke scored a cracker when he smacked a thunderbolt into the roof of the net from the far left of the circle. Contender for goal of the season. It was an important win and keeps the seniors in the hunt for the B semi-finals.
