Our Principal Alice Lynch has asked all pupils to mark International Literacy Day by reading books or the newspaper instead of using their computers or tablets today. Alice herself is a keen reader; she thinks
reading is good for the head and the soul and she gets through about one book a week. Alice is a great Ian McEwan fan and has read all his books. She also thoroughly enjoyed “Old School” by Tobias Wolff which she read recently. Alice’s favourite German book is “Die Erfindung des Lebens” (“The invention of life”) by Hanns-Josef Ortheil.
