On Sunday, March 22nd was International Water Day. To mark this day, the St. Kilian’s Green School is holding a “blue” Water Awareness day today. Many of our students are wearing “blue” and we have a cake sale, quizzes and a green school stand.
We would also like to congratulate Fiona O’Toole (Class 7C) who won a prize in the Green-Schools Irish Water Poster Competition run by An Taisce Green-Schools in partnership with Irish Water. She is Dublin regional winner in the secondary category – Senior Primary (3rd – 6th class) – and will be awarded a tablet computer at a ceremony in early May in Dublin. Fiona’s poster has been chosen from 2,500 entries. Well done!
Also 6th class students got involved and went on a ‘Walk for Water’ this morning. Diarmuid Gleeson from class 6A did a great job representing St. Kilian’s at the Eason Spelling Bee on the 19th of March 2015. Well done Diarmuid!
