The Parents’ Association invites all Secondary School parents to an information evening next Tuesday, 20th at 7.30 pm in the Assembly area.
The meeting aims at addressing concerns in relation to supporting their children’s preparation for exams and heavy school bags. The meeting will be joined by Rory Mulvey from Student Enrichment Services and Margo Fleming from Book Splits.
The speakers at the Parent Information Evening will cover 2 areas:
- Study Skills – practical skills for Parents to support their children
- Book Splits – a novel way to reduce the weight of school bags
Rory Mulvey from Student Enrichment Services will give a seminar on “Study Skills and Your Child” which is aimed at all parents of school going children but will of course be very useful for parents of children preparing for State Exams. Following Rory’s presentation there will be a Q & A session.
Margo Fleming from BookSplits will share how her experience of her children’s heavy school bags led to her discovery of BookSplits which she now sells throughout Ireland to parents and schools. There will be a demonstration on how to use the BookSplits pack and parents can avail of discounts for this product.
The Parent Association would be delighted to see as many of you as can make it to what they hope it be a very informative evening.
All parents are welcome!
