Congratulations to our primary school drama students who won the Terenure College Spring Drama Competition yesterday, on Wednesday the 11th of March 2015, for the first time. The competition was adjudicated by Mr. Darryl Kinsella and Ms. Carol McGuire of the Terenure College Drama Faculty. St. Kilian’s was the first out of 4 schools to perform.
They presented a fantastic adaptation of “The Hysterical History of Troy” written by D.M. Larson and directed by St. Kilian’s drama teacher Mr. William Mansfield. It was not an easy play they have chosen, but they acted outstandingly well and delivered a stunning performance. All well done! Also a big thank you to parents for the fantastic costumes.
All in all it was an intriguing night full of Drama. Our Lady’s N.S. Clonskeagh presented a great production of “Cinderella Rockerfella” directed by Maeve O’Brien, the students of Good Shepherd NS., Churchtown performed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” adapted and directed by Aoife Reilly whereas St. Joseph’s BNS, Terenure students staged a beautiful performance of “A Tangled Web” written, directed and produced by Anthony O’Flynn.
All were great and most importantly, all had lot of fun!
