Congratulations to Ellen Kane and Nick Carswell from 10th class who are awarded the PAD scholarship this year to take part in a fully sponsored language course in Germany. They are out of 29 Irish transition year students who will spent three weeks in the city of Kiel in June/July 2015 and attend a German school. We wish Ellen and Nick a great time and fantastic experiences in the North of Germany.
The PAD scholarship is provided by the German Pedagogical Exchange Service and is funded by the German Foreign Office. The selection is based on the students’ performances in German in the previous Junior Certificate Examination. The best 70 students are invited by the Department of Education and Skills to an interview/language test at the Goethe Institute in Dublin in March each year.
