St Kilian’s Transition Year students got the opportunity to experience the Chinese Language and Culture in a two hour workshop on Friday, 18 December. The workshop was organised by Ms Holloway in conjunction with the Confucius Institute UCD.
In the workshop the students learned to greet each other in Chinese as well as showing a keen interest and participation in Taiji, Calligraphy, Tea art, Chinese paper cutting and Chinese music. There was much fun as the students tried to use Chopsticks for the first time in the Chopstick competition. Afterwards the students were delighted to share their experiences and say how much they enjoyed the event.
