On Tuesday, 24th of May 2016, we said good-bye to the 12th class of 2016. The evening started with our Vorschule children (Senior Infants) performing a little song and dance on stage. After that, each of the children handed a red rose to one of the 12th class students, a lovely tradition to involve the children about to start their schooling and those who are about to finish theirs.
Our guest speaker this year was Mr. Daithi O’Ceallaigh, former Irish Ambassador to London who gave a lovely speech and handed out the various subject prizes to the students. The rest of the evening was made up of speeches, musical performances and a fantastic slideshow. Some of our students have been in our school for most of their young lives, some of them for 14 years, from Kindergarten to 12th class. Those students were given a crystal ornament with their name and the school logo by the Deputy Principal Elizabeth O’Brien as a keepsake of their time in St. Kilian’s.
We wish all the students the best of luck for their future and hope that you will stay in touch!
