Students of the 11th class debating team had a very exciting and challenging first round in the annual Concern Debates competition. The adjudicators announced a draw as the result of their encounter with the girls of the Teresian School. Both teams were excellent and it was impossible to choose between them. The decision was deemed unusual but very fair.
Congratulations and well done to Sophie Linnane (captain), Katie Clissmann, Ciara Connolly and Maedhbh Connolly. We wish them luck in the next round against Templeogue College in November.
Our Juniors were also out in force last week for their second debate in the UCD competition. All put in very good and improved performances. Well done to Hannah, Maria, Constanta, Tristan and Darragh of 8th class. They are looking forward to the next debate which will be held after mid-term.
