Congratulations to the Concern debating team who won the debate against St Kevin’s Community College on 29th February. They successfully proposed that the notion that population growth will destroy the planet is nonsense.
Captained by Hugh Perrette of 11th class with his team-mates Marcela Gonzalez and Nicholas Weafer of 11th class and supported by Sophie Linnane of TY (who stood in at the last minute), the team is now in the last 16 teams of this All-Ireland competition.
Their research team of Cillian Corcoran, Blaithin Sheehan, Patrick Junghenn and Daniel Raymond of 11th class all contributed to this strong team effort.
