Our Primary School mini-marathon on 15th June was brilliant fun for everyone. The format was slightly changed this year: we organised the mini-marathon as a “fun run” to encourage as many children as possible to take part, putting the focus on participation and fun instead of the winning of medals. Also, we got Primary School staff involved and many of them joined in the fun and ran together with the kids.
We were blessed with gorgeous sunny weather and the event was received with lots of enthusiasm from children and staff alike. Many participants wore costumes which further added to the cheerfulness of the day. Thank you all for taking part in this fun event and helping to raise €585 for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
On Friday 17th June, 6b organised a cake sale for the same charity. As always the pupils, staff and parents of St. Kilian’s gave very generously and a total of €600 was raised. We would like to give special thanks to the pupils and parents of 6b who baked lots of beautiful cakes and enabled this fundraiser to be the success that it was. A big thank you also to our dedicated teachers who put a lot of effort into making events like this happen.
In total we raised €1,185 for Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Well done St. Kilian’s!
