Here is an update on what happened in hockey last week:
First Year Girls Conquer Mount Temple
Our First Year Girls had a great win over a very powerful Mount Temple team. They won 3-0 with Clara Murphy getting two and Lucy Staunton getting the third. We played some great hockey with Anouk Schaffer raiding down the right and setting up chances. Sophia Murphy, Amelia Hauer and Clara Gysin were excellent at the back. Katie Doyle had a great game at left mid. And Isabel Fellenz caused havoc with her tackling up front. Arianna Kealy was sensational in goals and made some brill saves in the game to keep out Mount Temple. She is a top keeper for her age. Well done girls!
Final Score St. Kilian’s 3, Mount Temple 0
Girl of the match: Arianna Kealy who was outstanding in goals.
Two Christmas crackers for Hugo and one for Samuel
Our Junior Boys had an excellent win over Wesley B boys’ team on Friday 16th December. Hugo Heisterkamp got two crackers and Samuel Nourse scored a brilliant goal when he went the length of the pitch to score. Eoin Brennan had a great game in goals. The back four of Samuel, Traloch, Andrew and Tom were excellent.
Our midfield led by Sam Staunton and ably assisted by Daniel Barker and Eoin O Connor set up lots of chances. Up front Daniel Lynch, Hugo, Louis, Ben and Tristan were excellent and all contributed to a great win for the boys.
Final Score St. Kilian’s 3, Wesley B 0
Man of the match: Samuel Nourse who was outstanding at the back and scored a cracker.
