Congratulations to the 11th class debating team who as a result of last night’s win are now through to the quarter finals of the Concern national competition. They are now in the last 8 teams left in a competition which started out with over 150 teams nationwide. They successfully opposed the motion that all EU governments should sign up to the Robin Hood Tax that was proposed by Loreto Abbey Dalkey. They put in a terrific performance captained by Hugh Perrette with his teammates Daniel Raymond, Nicholas Weafer (who earlier in the day read the original proclamation of 1916) and Marcela Gonzalez. They are wonderful ambassadors for our school. We wish them every success in the next round!
