Congratulations! Our German Debating Team today met with Coláiste Eoin agus Íosagáin in the fourth round of The Goethe Institute German Debating Competition to debate the motion “Sciences are more important than foreign languages”. Our team was contra.
Team members Nick Carswell, Sophie Linnane, Ailbhe O’Connor and Ellen Kane performed and argued excellently and ended up successfully beating the other – very competent – team. The level of German of both teams was outstanding and the jury had to make an incredibly tough decision. Well done everyone!
