Congratulations to the 11th class students who are now through to the quarter finals of the Concern Debating competition! They successfully opposed the motion that There should be limits to free speech on social media against Loreto Abbey Dalkey. Captained by Sophie Linnane, the team of Lia Schaffer Taylor, Meadhbh Connolly and Ciara Connolly gave a great performance as they argued passionately for freedom of expression on-line. Well done to them and thanks to their research team of Colleen Wells, Joanna Harnett and Katie Clissmann.
On Friday, 10th March, three students from 11th class will also represent St Kilian’s at the Model European Council Debate to be held in Dublin Castle. Killian Conyngham, Cathal Kelly and Mihovil Dzidic will debate European Trade Laws from the perspective of the Czech Republic. We wish them well!
