The Senior Boys’ soccer team qualified from their league group in the South Metropolitan U19 League after games against Rockbrook Park, Cabinteely CS, Ballinteer CS, St Michaael’s and St Tiernan’s.Cabinteely Community School won the group, having beaten our boys 2-1, with St. Kilian’s qualifying as runners-up. We have since accounted for Greenhills College and, in the semi-final, had a narrow victory over St. Gerard’s, thanks to goals from Liam Ryan, Nick Carswell and Dillon Fox. Cabinteely have reached the final through the other half of the draw and will provide a stern test for our lads, as was the case in the group fixture. They have a strong squad of players, with up to six of their players playing in the underage structure of the Airtricity League. Friday’s game promises to be an interesting encounter!
