Alex Farren, Adam Handschuh and Cillian O’Connor were among 23 students from seven DLR Secondary Schools who had the fantastic opportunity to participate in an Entrepreneur STEM Camp during October and November. The camp was organised by DLR Libraries and DLR Local Enterprise Office and focussed on entrepreneurship in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) for Transition Year students.
The venue was the dlr LexIcon LAB and the camp offered students advanced training in coding, computer programming, 3D printing, robotics and other creative technologies. The Camp resulted in 7 new tech projects being created by teams of 3 – 4 students. Projects ranged from a Smart Mirror and Medi-Drone to a Smart Nano Recycling Bin.
