Our Student Council for 2018/19 was established at the beginning of the school year and has been meeting on a regular basis with Ms McCrea to discuss issues and suggestions raised by the student body.
The Student Council has been involved in various fundraising activities and has already had great input into school development. The following projects have been worked on since the beginning of the school year:
- Collaboration with the LFI charity group and the Primary School Student Council in the Brezel charity sale, fundraising for a school in Africa and the Gavin Glynn Foundation; this charity work will continue in the New Year.
- Outdoor eating area for TYs is well and truly underway and should be finished early in the New Year.
- The Student Council distributed a questionnaire with the purpose of improving supervised study facilities. This is a work in progress and will be continued when school resumes in January.
- General maintenance issues have been resolved and additional storage equipment has been put in place, thanks to Keith Warren, our caretaker.
