Well done to all students who actively engaged with the Mauerfall projects run by Frau Niederprüm during the month of November to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Details of these project are available here.
Congratulations to the classes 10A and 8B who were the winners of our Mauerfall Quiz which was held in the Lynn Hall on 6th and 7th November. They won pizza for their entire class which they got to enjoy at the beginning of December.
For our Mauerfall Competition we were very pleased with the students‘ active and enthusiastic participation and impressed with the quality and creativity of their contributions. A big thank you goes to our Secondary School teacher Sarah Niederprüm who initiated the student projects and put a lot of time and energy into making sure that St. Kilian’s marked the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall most memorably.
In order to summarise and remember the activities that took place on this occasion, and also to capture the memories of people who lived in Germany during the time of the Wall and who are connected to our school, we have published a booklet so that our pupils have a memento of our school community recalling this political, social and emotional event in German, European and World history.
