On the occasion of International Women’s Day, three 11th class students and their teacher, Frau Reitermayer, accepted the invitation of German Ambassador Deike Potzel to her residence. Frau Potzel wanted to talk to young women from Dublin about the role of women in politics and society. Girls from other schools in the city where German is taught were also invited.
It was a lovely opportunity for the girls and their teachers to get to know one another and exchange ideas. To round up the event, treats like Irish cheesecake and German Apfelstrudel were served by the Embassy.
