Dear Parents and Students,
We have experienced unprecedented times over the last few weeks. As we head into the Easter holidays I would like to thank our students, staff and parents for the very positive and supportive manner in which you have engaged with the online learning and teaching over the last three weeks.
We have a digital learning framework in place as part of our normal school planning and I am happy to report that we are now where we had planned to be by the start of the school year 2020-2021. In that sense, therefore, the current challenges have had a good outcome.
I hope you take some time over the Easter break to enjoy a little chocolate or an Easter egg or two. I am sorry I cannot give our exam classes a concrete indication as to when we will be back and what timeframe we will have for the state exams. It is my sincere hope that we can return to school somewhat in advance of the summer holidays. In the meantime, I encourage you, our students, to continue as if the exam schedule will be as planned. You have time to take stock over the holidays, please do, and remember to focus on that which is within your control.
I am aware that many of our parents are frontline workers. On behalf of all in our school community we say a sincere thank you for your continuing extraordinary efforts in what are the most challenging environments for you.
Finally, I wish you all a very happy Easter and above all else good health.
Kind regards,
Alice Lynch
Principal
