A new addition to our Transition Year programme this year is the Global Citizenship module which is being run in partnership with Worldwise Global Schools.
This module gives the students an insight into the UN Global Goals, how as a world we are aiming to achieve these goals and how different countries have adapted these goals into their national strategy.
Students have the opportunity to pick a country they are interested in and look at how said country has implemented strategies supporting these global goals. These include poverty, climate action, and life on land. Throughout the year various guest speakers give presentations to the students to give them a deeper insight into the topics.
Recenty, each student presented a project on their selected country to their year group. At the end of the module in May, each student will create an exhibit/display on their selected country which will be presented to the whole school.
