On Wednesday 11th March our Guidance Counsellor Ms Sherriff and the Wellbeing Team organised a Rainbow Day to show support for the LGBTI+ pupils in St. Kilian’s. Secondary school students were encouraged to wear a particular rainbow colour on the day, if they wished. The highlight of the day was the cake baking competition which brought about some fantastic creations by our students.
Well done to the creative bakers: Leo Andrews, Anja MacKenzie, Maria Carthy and Esmerelda Korolkova, Leopoldine von Bünau, Aliyah Abdelkader, Sabrina Handl, Maite Jacoby and Ms Farrelly. Congratulations to the overall winner Fainne Weiss Cummins!
The cakes were sold to students and staff during lunch break and raised €182.70 for the Pieta House Charity.
Many thanks to the all Transition Year students and Wellbeing Team who helped to organise and run the event and also the judges including teachers and pupils.
