SciFest is a national STEM fair for schools. Established in 2006, the SciFest programme consists of a series of one-day STEM fairs for second-level students. The aim of the programme is to encourage an interest in, and love of, the STEM subjects.
SciFest@School is where second-level schools host their own in-house STEM fair. The winners of the school level then go on to compete at the next level – SciFest@College. Here, a variety of third level institutes host one-day SciFest STEM fairs where students from different schools compete.
Our Transition Year students spent the first term of the school year working in groups of up to three, on a project of their choosing. They presented these projects for judging by school management in November during National Science Week.
