On the occasion of Daffodil Day on 26th March our teachers and pupils are running various initiatives to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. Primary and Kindergarten pupils were encouraged to wear yellow on the day and there was a bucket collection at the school gates.
Ms Thielemans has run a fantastic art project within the Primary School which saw lots of daffodil creations decorating our corridors.
But even if you did not get a chance to make a donation on the day, there are still options to help us support the fantastic work of the Irish Cancer Society over the Easter break: enter the
“Springtime” Fundraising Competition!
This initiative is organised by 8th Class student Maria Carthy and it is open to all Primary and Secondary students. The idea is that students create a piece of work based on the theme of “Springtime”, and prizes will be awarded for the winning entries.
Entries require a donation of €2 which can be paid through Maria’s fundraising page and the artwork can be submitted through Microsoft Teams using code e3gxpib. The closing date for the competition is Tuesday 6th April. Of course, all donations are very welcome, even if you don’t participate!
